Dell EMC | 2015-2018 - Kaiser Permanente

When I left Los Alamos, I landed at Dell EMC who wanted me to work for a very specific high-profile Health Care client in the Bay area; Kaiser Permanente (KP)  During my time at KP, I played many roles and led the delivery of ~$15m in services per year.

First and foremost, I was in charge of delivery for many different projects and teams (Automation / Software developers, DevOPS practitioners, product specialists, and Infrastructure Engineers).  I acted as the technical project manager, the SCRUM master, and also performed the role of Architect.  I also played the executive consultant role and handled all status meetings, contract / scope discussions, and escalations with the sponsor.  Internally, I played the business development role; helping draft Statements of Work, developing pre-sales material, and presenting to the sponsor.

My first project was the inclusion of DR capabilities to their existing private cloud.  The project was finished 3 months early with a profit margin of ~50% (average margins were normally only 35%).  With this success, we were granted many more enhancement type projects related to the client's private cloud.  We also were awarded some analytics work which I participated in from a development perspective (I develop my own analytics for various use cases; using platforms such as Splunk, PowerBI, and ServiceNow).
